You Deserve to Be Happy

SOME PEOPLE WORK hard to change and grow; to be better; more who they want to be, and are meant to be here on earth.

Old victim stories, patterns, and choices that no longer stand for who you are can suddenly appear. The past affects us all but, you do not have to give in to other people, things, emotions that may try to drag you down, such as family — friends — work — anger — guilt — fear — regret — shame — uncertainty.

Continue to be brave and grateful, and make positive, healthy choices to support who you are now, rather than weaken or betray your best self.

> You worked hard to change and get somewhere. You feel good about your life. How can you maintain that work and goodness and grow more?

> How can you use pain and resistance to be proud of yourself?

> You’ve come out of darkness into the light, into freedom, peace, joy, self-respect, living as your true self.
How can you have compassion and kindness and love for your self?

Don’t let other people and things disrupt your happiness. You’re smarter than that. You matter more than that.

“As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I’d still be in prison.” – Nelson Mandela –
